PSO Soundtracks – AMADEUS

amadeus_ver1Grab your popcorn and sit back to enjoy this award-winning film about the contrary life of prolific musical genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Directed by Milos Forman and released in 1985, Amadeus won 8 Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Director. 160 minutes. Rated R.

The music in Amadeus was recorded for the film by the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields under the direction of Sir Neville Marriner. The soundtrack on Fantasy Records won the Grammy for Best Classical Album and was certified gold, selling over 100,000 copies.

 

The film is presented in advance of the Princeton Symphony Orchestra’s Sunday, November 12 All Mozart concert.

 

Soundtracks is free and open to the public; Princeton Public Library Community Room; popcorn will be served.
